2015 Maker Faire Detroit

I will be retuning to Maker Faire Detroit.  With new projects to show I am excited to meet the people who support the maker movement.  The Henry Ford Museum will be hosting the faire and admission to the museum is included in the admission to the faire.  This is a amazing place to check out.  They have classic cars, presidential limos, giant steam engines, and I heard they will also have a Apple 1!  Not to mention hundreds of exhibitors showing their projects.  Stop by if you are in the area or like my family plan a summer trip.  Saturday and Sunday July 25 and 26th.

The hackaday Prize "Bored No More"

I have entered my interactive science fair board  "Bored No More" into the hackaday prize.  You can find it at hackaday.io Please give me your support. 

Science fair boards have failed to evolve over the last 50+ years. It is time to break away from the "Look but don't touch" mentality. Using Arduino, Big buttons, Servos and LED's we can add interactivity to the science fair boards of the future. My goal is to make science fairs more interesting to my fellow students to get them excited about science and engineering.

Panoramic camera spinner

This project had it's big debut at maker fair Detroit and was taking panoramic videos.  Using an old toy pottery wheel, an Arduino, and a couple of 3-D printed parts, I made a 360° Camera spinner. This project is cheaper than store-bought options and just as capable.

Video Skate Dolly

My 3d printed "Video Skate Dolly" is a handy piece of gear to add to your collection. It has an adjustable arm, rotating base, and tilting head. The wheels can also be adjusted to shoot a 360 degree video. Using recycled roller-blade wheels and PLA plastic it is easy on the environment and your budget.  Check this project out on Instructables and Thingiverse.  Give me a vote or a like on either site if you enjoy this project.

Floating Ball Kit Radio Shack Reviews Ep: 3

I assemble the Radio Shack Floating Ball Kit.  This kit includes a blower, switch, and battery compartment.  It is fun to put together and cool to watch the ball defy gravity.  This kit helps you learn basic electronics.  The parts can be reused on other projects.  This kit is a great value!
